ABC of Material Flow Bootcamp
A focused bootcamp on material flow and Kanban — how work and inventory should move, how to see pull in practice, and how to design a system your teams can run every day.
Lean training & coaching
TIMWOODS is practical lean training and coaching from Jon Arnold — grounded in the eight wastes, delivered on the Gemba, and built for teams who want fundamentals that stick.
I’m Jon — a global operational excellence leader based in Swindon, UK, who has lived operations from the shop floor up.
I’ve worked in many of the roles myself: shop floor, shift manager, supply chain support, operations lead, plant management, regional operational excellence, global operational excellence and leadership coaching. I don’t just bring the knowledge and the toolkit — I’ve walked the path, so I know which approaches actually work and how to deploy successful transformations.
Continuous improvement culture is now part of who I am. It has even rubbed off on my beautiful wife, who is now a continuous improvement leader in the insurance industry herself — we live and breathe the waste-elimination mindset.
My history has been within manufacturing, but service and finance industries run their back-end functions the same way — through processes — so I can coach and teach lean and waste-elimination methodology to these industries as well.
That experience underpins a track record of saving organisations millions of dollars through practical, people-centred lean.
Lean fundamentals training and coaching — on-site or remote — tailored to your operation, your people and your priorities.

TIMWOODS is the acronym for the eight wastes of lean. Spot them, name them, and you can start removing them.
Unnecessary movement of materials or product
Stock beyond what is needed to flow
Wasted movement by people
Idle time for people, parts or information
Making more or earlier than demand
Doing more than the customer needs
Rework, scrap and quality escapes
Unused talent and capability
Tell Jon about your site, your team and the outcome you need. He will respond with a clear next step — no jargon, no fluff.
